EFKen Leasing Ltd (EFKEN) is an equipment leasing company that was set up in Kenya by EFAfrica Group in 2020 with a view to increasing access to finance to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. EFKen offers Equipment Financing Solutions to MSMEs on flexible tenors.
EFKEN aims at providing both Operating and Equipment loans for equipment and machinery. The equipment
and or Machinery financed is the only collateral
required by EFKEN. This expands access to finance
considerably for SMEs and differentiates EFKEN
financing model from those of the local banks and
microfinance institutions.
EFKEN is a leasing specialist institution dedicated to small enterprises and producer groups that have outgrown microfinance but are unable to access bank finance due to prohibitive collateral requirements and other bank lending policies that do not favor SMEs.

EQUIPMENT LOANS
These are leases that transfer
substantially all the risks and
rewards of ownership, and give rise
to asset and liability recognition by
the lessee and a receivable by the
lessor .
OPERATING LEASES
Are leases that result in expense
recognition by the lessee, with the
asset remaining recognized by the
lessor.
All our leases will include service
and maintenance contracts with
the OEM or dealers for full the
tenor of the lease. The cost of this
and any other costs like insurance,
tracking will be
financed together with the asset

Managing Director
JudyAnne was among the Executive team that set up EFKen Leasing Ltd in Kenya. She was formerly the Managing Director for East Africa for Wilben Trade Ltd. JudyAnne is a leasing expert and has held senior management positions in leading leasing companies in East Africa. She was a leasing consultant under AFC Agriculture & Finance Consultants GMBH Germany, for European Investment Bank Financial Sector Operations Programme, where she conducted leasing trainings to various banks in the East Africa Region between 2016 and 2018.
She has over 16 years banking experience and held management positions in Corporate and Commercial Banking Sectors in Barclays and Standard Chartered Banks respectively.
Ann Dickson
Finance and Admin Officer
Ann is the Finance and Admin Officer of EFKen Leasing Ltd.
She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K) with over 7 years solid experience in Accounting and Finance.
She formally worked for VAELL Leasing Ltd as an accountant before moving
to Crywan Enterprises Ltd as the Tax and inventory accountant.
Peninah Mutuma
Credit Manager
Peninah has extensive experience of over 13 years in the banking Industry specializing in Credit management. Prior to joining EFKen Leasing Ltd, she worked for Faulu Bank Microfinance (Old Mutual Group) as the Credit Manager Analyst, Diamond Trust Bank Ltd as a Credit Officer and Equity Bank Ltd as a Relationship Officer. She holds an MBA In Strategic Management and B.COM in Accounting & Business Administration.
Eric Maorwe
Business Development Manager
He has formally worked for Equity Bank for over 10 years where he held
various positions from Credit Officer, Credit Administrator,
Assistant-Credit Manager and Relationship Manager.
He Holds a BSc. Science Degree (Horticulture) from Egerton University and
Diploma in IMIS (Institute for the Management of Information Systems) from
Strathmore university.
